Our home also hosts a lively cast of local wildlife: five fiercely territorial magpies, two blackbirds who think parked cars are fair game, a not-so-graceful seagull named Jonathan, and a pair of ducks. Thanks to the local wind, Jonathan’s crash landings have become something of a neighborhood spectacle.
